Bred and brown cheese. Delicious! :P but where is my Lucky Charms!!!

There are always new experiences when you travel to a new country. In my opinion one of the biggest changes is the food. I especially experienced this when I moved to Thailand for five weeks. I have to say that Thai food is not my favorite ha ha. But Norway, by far has better food than Thailand and America. All my favorite foods are here!! It is great. But it still is different, it just takes some time to adjust. There are two things, food-wise that I am getting used to. In Norway, they eat much more bread and cheese than I am used to. For example, for breakfast I will either eat musli (pretty much granola) with milk or yogurt. Or I will have eat smørbrød, bread with brown cheese or white cheese. It is yummy :P But it is a little different than typical American breakfast. I actually do miss some of my sugar cereals. Like Fruit Loops or Lucky Charms. I think Americans eat more sugar than Norwegians. So it was just different. But that doesn`t mean Norway doesn`t have super delicious candy!! The candy here is 1000% better!! Like the chocolate actually has flavor ha ha. It is so damn good! Then there is this candy from heaven called Bilar, it probably is my favorite candy. I can eat, bag after bag of them. The food in Norway is so good, even the reindeer. Yes, I have eaten Rudolf the red nosed reindeer :P

Norway: Land of Greatness and....Apple Products??

Norway is so great, so far I love everything here! For those of you that are reading this that don`t know, before Norway I was living in Thailand for six weeks. And let me tell, that made me just the more excited for Norway. I think everyday (because of the heat) I would say "I can`t wait for Norway". I was so happy when the plane landed in to find that it was a cold and sort of a rainy day. Complete and utter refreshment. After living in a extremely hot climate, you really learn to appreciate changing season and coldness ha ha. Norway does remind me of Minnesota, but just by the wildlife. Norway, of course has hills and mountains. Not like flat home. So I think it is definitely hard to get home sick, when Norway is so similar. But yeah, so far everything has just been wonderful. My host family is so great, I am really lucky. I like School way more than school back in Minnesota. This is how school works. We have the same classes the whole year. But we don`t have the same classes everyday. They switch between days and weeks. Somedays we get off school early, somedays I don`t even have school somedays, but that isn`t very often. Plus, we don`t get very much homework. But when we do get homework, it is very hard for me because it is usually reading and I read really, really slow!! But I am getting faster, it is just taking time. The nicest part of Norway is everyone is so nice here :). I mean seriously, when I think about it I have not met non-nice person. Everyone is more than happy to help me with the language and just getting around. Its great, I feel really at home. But back to my title. I was so surprised when I went to school, because it seems like everyone has iPhone!! It was crazy, I don`t even know one person with a iPhone in Minnesota. So people have them here, its funny.
